Why People Fail to Transition to a Raw Plant Based Lifestyle
The perceived healing on a carnivore-based diet.
Many people struggle to comprehend that our ideal diet is raw foods primarily being fruit because many have perceived healing on carnivore, keto and paleo-based diets. The reason for this is people can have a certain level of healing when improving diet even if it’s not fruit based. For example, if someone was to move from the SAD (standard American/Australian diet), and move more to a paleo diet where grains, starches and processed foods are eliminated, they slow down the trajectory to progressing further into dis-ease and will experience a certain level of decreased symptoms. However, there is plateau that will be reached as time goes by.
The reason a "one-sided" meat eater can live a relatively longer time than the vegetarian "starch-eater" is easy to understand after having learned Lesson V. The first one produces less solid obstructions by smaller quantities of meat-foods than the starch "overeater," but their later diseases are more dangerous because they accumulate more poisons, pus, and uric acid.
~Arnold Ehret, The Mucusless Diet Healing System
Another reason is that when people fail to make it through the transitionary period to raw foods and go back to eating meat, they claim they feel stronger and more energetic. So why do people ‘feel’ better when going back to eating meat? The strength they are feeling is simply stimulation from the meat, which contains the hormones of the slaughtered animal, and any energy they get is simply second-hand amino acids passed on from the plants the animal consumed and it’s an inferior ‘energy’ source and simply dead matter.
Exactly like alcohol, the meat acts in the beginning delusively as if stimulating strength and energy, until the entire organism is penetrated by it and the break-down is inventible. All other stimulants act likewise.
~Arnold Ehret, Rational Fasting
Now if we look it from the perspective of how our body works in terms of the detoxification processes, it starts to make more sense. The medical drug cartels tell us that there are hundreds of types of disease, but if we strip it back to its simplicity, there is only one cause of dis-ease, toxic overload causing acidosis, which expresses different symptoms based on where the toxic waste is primarily manifesting on an individual level.
The four stages of ‘dis-ease’ are in order of progression:
Acute
Sub-acute
Chronic
Degenerative
The symptoms of dis-ease primarily expressed in only two of these stages being acute and degenerative, and the difference between these two stages is that acute dis-eases are a healing process, the body’s natural systematic approach to cleaning waste, a warning sign that we have strayed out of homeostasis and the body is working to rebalance via its divine intelligence.
While degenerative dis-ease are a destructive process, which has progressed from compounded symptoms being suppressed through autointoxication (self-poisoning), and not allowing the body to detoxify upon manifestation of the acute symptoms.
When one makes the shift to a raw plant/fruit-based lifestyle, it will trigger a slow detox process. If the individual has underlying chronic conditions, the detox process will walk them back through their lymphatic stagnation, tracing the path of self-destruction from chronic, to sub-acute to acute, and when they arrive back to the acute state, that is where detox symptoms primarily turn up.
If an initial cleansing/detox period is not honoured, people perceive that they are undernourished and experience lack of energy due to the body ‘cleaning house’ and experience varying degrees of detox symptoms from the slow elimination of toxic waste, this is usually when people abandon the transformation and go back to old ways. When this detox process is halted prematurely and autointoxication occurs, e.g., consuming injurious foods (like meat), beverages, or pharmaceuticals, it simply drives their problem/s that the body was detoxing back into its chronic state, and their perceived ‘strength’ returns as soon as the detox symptoms cease.
Over the years I personally have experimented with many meat-based diets. I have done keto, paleo, the blood type diet, and many rounds of candida cleanses where I did experience a certain number of reduced symptoms and weight-loss, however the results were unstable and inconsistent and over time I would reach a plateau.
The only true success in healing myself was to incorporate fasting and the ideal diet as a lifestyle. I suffered from various health conditions than have been normalised within society, to name a few, lipedema in my legs, regular constipation with associated hemorrhoids and fissures, excess weight, seborrheic dermatitis, tremors in my hands, regular urinary tract infections, candida, cold sores and thin blood, all of which have disappeared along with the toxic waste I expelled during a 3-month liquid fast. I personally experienced the weakness and varying detox symptoms and not to mention the emotional ups and downs through my transition onto a raw high fruit lifestyle, but I do not regret it, now I have reached a level of vitality cannot be matched to that when I was eating dead and injurious foods.
To successfully transition to a raw and fruit-based diet, it is recommended to dedicate oneself to an initial cleansing period using a fasting protocol designed to eliminate all the evils and misgivings within, then applying our ideal diet to prevent further injury and support keeping our elimination pathways open to continue the healing process. This is not a quick fix, it can take many months to realise a sense of vitality and finding grounding in this new way of living, while taking years to fully clean the system depending on the level of toxicity and encumbrance in an individual.
The truth is simple, if the body is dirty clean it, and fuel it with the highest quality fuel. Humanity has strayed so far from the path of truth and healing, making everything confused. Not only that, we are also being led astray by many who do not have our best interests at heart. Fasting and cleansing the body temple is the true redemption to save ourselves.
May all find the truth and heal themselves, we are our own saviours.
